We offer veterans a convenient, walk-in care option! Since June 6th 2019, U.S. Veterans no longer have to wait to get care for minor medical conditions.
Under the Veterans Affairs Department’s Mission Act, Holy Cross Urgent Care centers are able to treat veterans on a walk-in basis. No appointment is ever necessary.
Minor medical conditions include (but are not limited to):
- flu-like symptoms
- strep throat
- minor burns
- pink eye
- ear/skin infections
- x-rays
- lab testing
- medications
Veterans can now arrive at any Holy Cross Urgent Care location and simply let the customer service representative know they would like to use their VA Urgent Care benefits. Our staff will then confirm Veteran eligibility before providing care. Before the new law took effect, the VA would pay for private care only when veterans had to drive more than 40 miles or wait more than 30 days for a VA appointment.
Holy Cross Urgent Care centers are state-of-the art facilities providing walk-in care for minor illnesses and injuries. We’re open seven days a week, including after hours, weekends and holidays. Licensed providers are available to perform procedures like splinting and suturing, in addition to being equipped with digital x-ray, laboratory services and an electronic medical records (EMR) system.
All our Holy Cross Urgent Care centers are accredited by the national Urgent Care Association, certifying its clinics deliver the highest level of care available in an on-demand care setting. Urgent care is not intended for major emergencies. If you are experiencing a life-threatening situation, dial 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
